Re: Levitation base assembly...discussion
Well I successfully figured out what my problem was with the touch sensor. The pin outs on the sensor are not in the order of Ground VCC the I/O the I/O pin is in the middle and I had reversed the VCC and IO pins. After this correction everything function just as it was described in the directions....

Re: PCB assembly discussion
...After the board was powered up all worked well for me, I did connect via Bluetooth to my laptop and opened a terminal window to the Bluetooth module. I sent the commands as outlined in the advanced user manual, however, I do not get a flash on the yellow LED. But the green LED does pulse slightl...

Re: Sharing experience wit the time flies
SkyRaider, Thanks so much for your reply been super busy this past week and managed to get in a car accident Friday (lady crashed into the back of my car going 70km/h) any way I finally got back to the clock project. Your explanation was immensely helpful, I do not know assembly at all. I have only ...

Re: Levitation base assembly...discussion
So looking for some feedback on the levitating base part of the build. I have finished the PCB up to the point where testing is required. SO the mag coil PCB has been mated to the control PCB at the solder pads as stated. I had a few questions about the touch switch. Seems as though in the pictures ...

Re: PCB assembly discussion
This part of the kit has gone together great, at first, it did not power up and I realized I had forgotten to solder in the fuses. After the board was powered up all worked well for me, I did connect via Bluetooth to my laptop and opened a terminal window to the Bluetooth module. I sent the commands...

Re: PCB assembly discussion
Been a pretty easy build so far really enjoying it. I have been using solder paste and heat gun method for soldering the SMD components sure makes it easy compared to using a soldering Iron, especially for the IC packages like the pic controller. I ran into one hiccup in the process when I plugged t...

Re: Board PCB discussion
Excellent! Everything is replaced and all is working again. Thanks for the help. Good to hear. I had the same problem with mine. However mine seemed to be a problem with this one particular tube. I have not gotten up the courage to try it again on the board dont want to have to replace another comp...

Re: New PCB - track error found
ah so the caps arent doing anything then. I was looking at that the other day wondering what they were there for. I was thinking to myself I just must be stupid or missing a trace or something but could not figure out why they were there if they were not connected between. Guess I will start the pro...
