Re: Piece display PCB discussion
..... If you want drop protection how about making a brass wire 'roll bar cage' for each piece?. Now Tony! Great Idea - That would be a very cool look! Brass, Copper, Stainless, Silver, or any type of metal wire 'roll cage' would bump the Geek Cool Meter WAY UP! The steam punky 'roll cage' c...

---- Coating the Nixie Tube with Clear Acrylic ???
Do the tubes get very warm? Probably not since we play with them...
I was thinking to spray several coats of a clear Acrylic or other to protect the tubes in case they get dropped. Do you think this would work?

Re: Board coils discussion
Yes, to test your coils would be the way to go - But, I did loose your one board coil amongst a number of others. A helper - helped.
Thanks for the 'duh' reminder. I do have the pcb coil to check.

Re: Board coils discussion
Tony or someone who has tested.
What are good uH values for a board and pcb coils, respectively?
I bought a inductance (coil) testor kit and now would like to get all my coils set to a set value.
Thanks!

Thanks Tony for the board build and part difference insights. Yes, I see now that you have carved out a number of time intensive sets that it is time to go time, cost and materials efficient. @...Ed Sorry, I didn't mean to alarm you about selling. I just was trying to give a compliment based on my p...

Ha, Ha, Tony said, "...crap..."
So, we paid for and got a lot of "crap" solder in our kits and need to replace with some good stuff. LOL.....
He's so Fun-E....
It's a good thing I've got a couple of rolls of Silver soldier after doing some Arduino SMD play.
