Regards extra pins on Nixies

I want to know if the pins that are unused on the Nixies can be cut without affecting the function of the Nixie tubes ? Of course, I realise that the Nixie can never be used anywhere else. Just a theoretical query?

They can but there may be a risk of damaging the glass/metal seal. I would try to avoid cutting them if you can.
