gauge of enameled copper wire

Tony,
what is the gauge of the copper wire we are using for the coils? I do not have a micrometer to make the measurement myself.

It's 0.18mm dia., a slightly thinner wire would have made coil winding easier but increased resistive losses. It only just fits on the piece formers.

Would 33 AWG be an adequate substitute?

It would work OK on the baseboard coils but might be a bit tight for the piece coils.

so 34 0r 35awg would be better?

If you have a choice go with the 34 dia.
