Blue microphones Yeti UAC3576B bug

I recently bought one of these for my son on ebay. When it arrived I connected it up to the workshop PC to test, a XP machine. It wasn't recognised and trying it on a windows 7 box it installed itself as a 'UAC3576B sound device'. After a little digging this appears to be a very common problem caused by the onboard firmware that configures the USB soundcard IC becoming corrupted.
The solution of course was to buy another with a different fault, a damaged volume control in this case, and read the EEPROM. After reprogramming the EEPROM on the original microphone it works fine. As this seems to be such a common fault and the only way I could repair it was to buy another mic to obtain an undamaged copy of the firmware I'm posting it here for anyone else who might want to try the same fix. You'll need a programmer capable of writing a IIC 24c128, there are thousands of simple circuits on the net.
